eWasteGang hands kids ages 8–14 a screwdriver and a real computer. They take it apart, learn what every piece does, and put working tech back into the neighbourhood instead of the landfill.

What we do

One dead laptop solves three problems at once.

We close the digital divide

Donated machines get wiped, repaired and refurbished, then go back out to students, job seekers and neighbours who need a working computer and shouldn't have to pay retail for one.

We keep tech out of landfills

Electronics are the fastest-growing waste stream in the world, and most of it still works. We collect it, harvest what's usable, and turn the rest into art, teaching material and spare parts.

We teach kids to be safe online

Once you've seen where your data physically lives, passwords and privacy stop being abstract. We cover the basics of cybersecurity, safe browsing, and how to properly erase a drive before it leaves your house.

Take apart a real computer

Lab coat on, goggles on, screwdriver in hand. Every student strips a donated desktop down to the board and can name every part by the end.

Turn scrap into something worth keeping

Dead drives, discs and boards become clocks, sculptures and jewellery. Families welcome! Plenty of grown-ups end up more invested than the kids.

Bring e-waste to any event we run. We also do monthly and bi-monthly pickups around Norristown, just email us to get on the route.
